This is entirely AU, while there are some of the canon lore, there is it's own twist.
Backstory;
𝘈𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥, 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺.
Before the attack and lose of his parents and younger brother; Estinien's parents raised him as a noble vampire. His father taught him the proper ways to hunt, while his mother taught him his manners and the way to treat others, especially those whom he fed on with respect.
He did his best to keep to himself, teaching his younger brother the same. His best friend Aymeric and way later down the line lover; was the only one who he spoke to openly, though he never revealed his one secret.
After the horde attacked and ravaged the village, he was separated from Aymeric; he became closeted, trusting only Alberic who was his adoptive father and trainer; whom also kept his secret safe.

He now lives on his own, watching over the Holy See of Ishgard from afar, particularly watching over Aymeric. He now acts as his lance, and shield.
He is also the acting official for the other vampires whom have a treaty with the humans for peace, to prevent them from acting out and treating those with respect and not like cattle.
